Understanding Bonds in the Spiritual Realm
A bond, as defined by the Oxford Dictionary, is an agreement with legal force. In the spiritual realm, bonds can also exist, creating connections that influence our lives. This concept was revealed to a client by the Holy Spirit during an advocacy session with Dr. Ron M. Horner of LifeSpring International Ministries. Bonds may be godly or evil. Godly bonds, as for example described in Colossians 3:14 and Ephesians 4:3, align us with God’s love and our purpose. In contrast, evil bonds allow the enemy legal access, leading to hindrance of our destiny, frustration, and loss.
A bond is a spiritual connection that impacts the flow of blessings or curses in your life. Godly bonds strengthen your alignment with God’s will, while evil bonds disrupt and block blessings. Evil bonds can form through negative words, curses, or your and generational sin but can be removed and replaced with godly bonds through the Courts of Heaven.
The Legal Nature of Bonds
In the spiritual context, bonds link two parties in a legal agreement. A believer with stronger faith can release a godly bond on behalf of another, as the strength of faith enhances the bond’s effectiveness. Bonds are meant to benefit others, so you cannot request a bond for yourself; instead, you can ask someone with stronger faith to request it for you. Heaven values agreement among believers, and the stronger faith of the requesting believer increases the bond’s impact.
Process for Releasing Bonds
While godly bonds must be initiated by another believer, you can remove ungodly bonds from your Bond Book, which has four pages: Personal, Family, Business/Ministry/Education, and Relationships. Follow these steps:
- Access the Bond Registry in the Court of Records.
- Review the Bond Book pages, noting evil bonds (right column) and godly bonds (left column).
- Request access to the Court of Title and Deeds and a Writ of Severance for each ungodly bond.
- Repent for your sins and those of your ancestors that created these bonds.
- Forgive, bless, and release those responsible for creating the bonds.
- Confirm with the Judge if further action is needed, then receive the verdict.
- Request access to the Court of Cancellations, present the verdict received at the Court of Titles and Deeds, and request the cancellation of all evil bonds, writs, impacts, and consequences.
- Return to the Court of Titles and Deeds and request godly bonds to be released over you by another believer and placed in your pages.
Writs of Release and Legal Aspects
When requesting godly bonds, it’s essential to include a Writ of Release with details of the bond. For example, a Bond of Financial Providion might include a Writ of Abundance based on Philippians 4:19.
Difference Between a Blessing and a Bond
While a blessing, such as “have a blessed day,” is a kind sentiment, requesting a “Bond of a Day Full of Blessing” with a Writ of Financial Provision, the Joy of the Lord, and Restored Health is a stronger legal matter that activates the angelic host to bring this about.
Examples of Bonds
- Evil Bonds (such as Bond of Witchcraft, Bond of Sorrow, Bond of Sickness, and Bond of Poverty) block blessings and create struggles.
- Godly Bonds (such as Bond of Clarity, Bond of the Might and Power of God, and Bond of Physical Healing) bring insight, conviction, and healing. Request Writs of Release for these godly bonds.
Following the eight steps above frees you from spiritual bonds that hinder your destiny, allowing divine blessings to flow through the Courts of Heaven.

Salvation Prayer
If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, consider this life-changing decision. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me.” To invite Him into your life, pray:
“Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner in need of a Savior. I ask for your forgiveness and trust in your precious blood, shed to atone for my sins. I believe that you are the Son of God, who died and rose again on the third day. I now welcome you into my heart and life as my Savior and Lord. With your help and guidance, I commit to living for you. Thank you, Lord.”
If you prayed this in faith, welcome to the family of God. Begin reading your Bible daily and seek a church for growth in your relationship with Him.
